      JVS Murthy hails from Visakhapatnam . An Avid reader & Self Educated Individual, Concerned in serving the society, as a public man he plays an active role in addressing community issues, by being an advocate to the needy. He took part in various humanitarian missions. To cite a few , organizied a rally to curb  pollution in Visakhapatnam, Observed Passive Resistance Against privatization of Steel Plant, and actively involved in Gangavaram port struggle on behalf of displaced fishermen, and stood against Bauxite mining in tribal areas. He played a Pivotal role in bringing railway zone to Visakhapatnam, by way of acting as Convenor for “Visakha Railway Zone Sadhana Samithi” .And  Also served as treasurer for the “Vislandhra Vignana Samithi “ for 5 years ,and also as member for the same for a decade. He is an embodiment of Honesty, Compassion and humanity. Being a close associate to the Former Chairman Sri Manam Anjaneyulu & Chalasani Raghavendra Rao , Sharing their common ideology & True aspirations .His association with The Visakapatnam Cooperative Bank Ltd,. has started  from 1987 as a member. And  elected as director to the board of directors  of The Visakhapatanm Cooperative Bank ltd in 2020.Rose to the rank of Chairman in 2025.


Sri.CH.Raghavendra Rao
Vice-Chairman

Sri. Chalasani Raghavendra Rao, born on 16.11.1955 to Sri. Chalasani Jagannadha Rao and Smt. Chalasani Jayaprada in an agriculturist family with rural backdrop at Annavaram Village, Nuziveedu Mandal and excelled as Vice-Chairman of The Visakhapatnam Co-operative Bank ltd., with his commendable leadership qualities and astute approach. He served and voluntarily retired from Hindustan Zinc Ltd in 2001. He was elected as Director of The Visakhapatnam Coop Bank in 1993. Even as an employee of the Zinc, he took active part in organizing and leading the employees of The Hindustan Zinc Ltd., as a Trade Union Leader for achieving social justice to all employees. He has organized and led many associations in the unorganized sector also and served as District Secretary in the AITUC, Visakhapatnam.


Sri. A. Joseph Stalin
Director

Qualification B.Sc., B.L. An Advocate with 30 years professional experience, Stalin received felicitation from Chief Justice of High Court for his long and meritorious services. A devoted worker in the Communist Party of India, he served as the Party’s Secretary for Visakhapatnam District. He made persistent efforts for establishment of Civil & Criminal Courts in Gajuwaka. Served as President, Bar Association Gajuwaka, GVMC City Counselor , Gajuwaka Municipality (2000), Corporator in GVMC (2007). Visited important cities in India and submitted papers to GVMC on solid waste management, BRTS road, and JNNURM projects. He has been serving as Director of The Visakhapatnam Co-Operative Bank Ltd., since 1993, attended several management programs and Co-Operative Congress meetings and providing his valuable advices to the Bank on several matters.


Sri. G. Janardhana Rao
Director

A retired employee from BHPV, Visakhapatnam. While in service he took active part in Trade Union matters and gained good experience as Trade Union Leader. After retirement, he has been serving The Visakhapatnam Cooperative Bank Ltd., as Director since 2006 and adding his expertise in leadership in the management of the Bank. He has vast contacts in USA thereby using his good will in mobilizing NRI/NRE deposits etc.


Sri.S.Nagabhushana Chowdary

Education Qualification B.Com., A successful business man managing his own businesses, besides taking active interest in politics and social welfare activities. He has been on the Board of The Visakhapatnam Co-Operative Bank Ltd., since 22 years contributing his matured advice and expertise for its smooth functioning.


Sri. V. Chandra Sekhar
Director

Born to Prof. V. Bhaskara Rao, a noted geophysicist and Rama Lakshmi, he has the distinction of associating with several professional bodies, educational institutions and financial organizations. Himself a Fellow of Chartered Accountancy, he qualified as Information Systems Auditor – ICAI; ISACA (Illinois, USA - 2002); Concurrent Audit of Banks (ICAI). With his 27 years of Accounting Audit & Taxation experience and expertise in BPO & KPO activities, he has been providing Credit evaluation and Credit processing services to major Banking Institutions & Credit Card operators. Managing his own firm Veeraganta Associates, he actively involved in various other activities as Resource Person, Guest Speaker / Trainer. Served as Past Chairman of Visakhapatnam Branch of ICAI (in 2004), Former Member, Project Director for Development of IT infrastructure and Regular faculty at Visakhapatnam Branch of SIRC of ICAI, Guest faculty for Small Industries Institute (MSMED), Ministry of Industries, Govt. of India, local management institutions, Academic staff college, UGC AU Campus, on the panel of Internal Audit Standards Board of ICAI, The Hindu, National Seminars held by Dept. of Commerce & Management Studies of Andhra University. Member – Financial Advisor of AU; Group study exchange programe of Rotary International visiting USA in 2001. Chaired many seminars at SICASA and presented many papers at All India Student Campaigns. His interests extend to cultural activities also. President & Founder Trustee – “SADYOJATAM” a trust in service of Music and Life Member of Visakha Music and Dance Academy, Visakha Music Academy, Sangeetha Kala Samithi, Ukkunagaram Gana Sabha, A Mason in Grand Lodge of India & ACME Visakha Junior Chamber. He has been on the Board of The Visakhapatnam Co-Operative Bank Ltd., as Professional Director, Member of Audit & investment Committees since 2004 rendering his expert advice.

 


Sri. CH. Adhinarayana Sastri

Qualification B.Com., M.A. (Public Admin.,), CFA from AMFI. He served and retired from Hindustan Zinc Ltd., While in employment he took active part in several worker related activities. Served in the Hindustan Zinc Co-Operative Society. After retirement from Hindustan Zinc two years ago, he became one of the Directors of The Visakhapatnam Co-operative Bank Ltd., Ever since he has been showing keen interest in its development and introduced several hi-value depositors.


Smt. Emani avani
Director

Smt.Emani avani is a true follower & believed in co operation having a good relation & contact with members, customers and depositors of our kukutpally Branch. She is serving the branch members and customers for the last 12 years and an instrumental to the overall growth of the business of branch along with her husband late E.Srinivasa Rao. She is believed in co operative principles and striving to achieve the same by engaging herself in the activities for promotion of bank business. She is also actively participating in all bank programmes.


Smt U Parvathidevi

A Post graduate in Science (M.Sc. Maths) from the Andhra University. Smt U Parvathi Devi is a dynamic and young director having good relations with members and customers of the Bank. Her knowledge, approach and service will be very useful in customer relation and business growth of the Bank. She is a good human relationship person. Her interpretation and Mathematical analysis is a guiding factor for the Bank development.


Dr.C.Krishna Mohan Rao
Director

C. Krishna Mohan Rao, born in 1958, obtained his post-graduation and doctorate in sociology from Andhra University. He has over three and half decades of experience in the literacy and rural development sectors, working at state, national, and international levels for various organizations, including the Directorate of Adult Education, Andhra Pradesh Academy of Rural Development, the National Institute of Adult Education in New Delhi, and UNESCO in Paris.

 

During his tenure as the Deputy Director of Adult Education in West Godavari, the district received a National Award from the Prime Minister for its outstanding performance in literacy during the decade of 1991-2001. His innovative group-based literacy program, Akshara Mahila, was recognized as one of the world's best literacy programs by UNESCO, and he was invited to speak at the first White House Conference on Global Literacy in New York in September 2006. He was also selected as a member of the international delegation for literacy advocacy, led by Mrs Laura Bush, the then First Lady of the United States.

 

Krishna Mohan Rao has participated in many international conferences, including the Expert Meeting on Non-Formal Education held in Paris in 2004, the World Hunger and Development Symposium in Rome in 2005, the Regional Conference on Literacy and Development in Bangkok in 2007, and the Asia Regional Conference on Global Literacy in New Delhi in 2008. He has published numerous papers on literacy and rural development in journals such as Mainstream, the Journal of Educational Planning and Administration, the International Journal of Adult Education, and the Indian Journal of Adult Education. He also published a book titled "Literacy in Action: Challenges in the Adult Education System in India" by Sage Publication (International Edition) in 2019.

 

Krishna Mohan Rao has received several honors and awards, including the Telugu Vishisht Seva Patram from the Government of Andhra Pradesh, which is a rare honor for a government employee, and the Gadicharla Harisarvothama Rao Award by the Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University in Hyderabad. In 2017, he voluntarily retired from government service and started engaging in agriculture in Nakkapalli Mandal, Visakhapatnam District.


Sri Achalla Ramakrishna Rao

Sri Achalla Ramakrishna Rao is a Post graduate in structural Engineering (ME From Andhra University) who has worked as an  executive engineer  in Panchayatraj Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh and retired in year 2021. He is a seasoned Co operator who is associated with Co- operative institutions since 2005. He acted as  catalyst in merging the Bobbili Co Operative bank with The Visakhapatnam Co operative Bank by safe guarding interest of depositors and shareholders of the then Bobbii Co operative Bank. He is active and energetic and had participating in a various seminars pertaining to co operative institutions.


Sri. Kandapu Prasadarao
Director

A Law graduate from the Andhra University. He is a practicing advocate and notary at Bobbili since 1982 and is the major instrumentalist in merging the then Bobbili Urban Bank which with the Visakhapatnam Cooperative Bank. On the political front he is the member of the Communist party of India. He has vast experience both in cooperative laws and other civil laws. He is the executive member of the Indian Association of Lawyers for the last 20 years. His rich experience in law and he is always a guiding director in all legal matters of the bank.


Smt Kesari Nirmala
Director

Kesari  Nirmala born in remote village of Kavali taluk of SPSR Nellore District, completed her high school education at Viswodaya Girls High School Kavali, Graduated  in commerce from Javahar Bharathi College, kavali and Post Graduated from SV university Tirupathi . She worked as lecturer in Govt polytechnic colleges at various places in the state of Andhra Pradesh. She is acquainted with co-op principles and worked in co operative moment with her husband Sri JCS Amarnath who served as chairman of The Nellore Co operative Urban Bank Ltd for 30 years. She believed in cooperative principles and actively participated in the programs organized by the Nellore branch. She has elected as director to the bank in 2025.


Sri. P.V. Narasimha Murthy

Qualification: MCOM, PGDCRS

He has long association i.e. nearly 41 years with the bank. He worked as CEO of The VSP CO OP Bank from 23 years and under his leadership the bank expanded from 10 Branches to 55 Branches and business for 264 Crores to 7600 Crores. After resigning to the post of CEO of the bank on 31-01-2025 at the age of 61 years, he was inducted in the Board of the Bank on 02-02-2025, His expertise and experience in cooperative banking may be beneficial to the bank in the overall performance of the bank


Sri Chukkapalli Rama Rao
Director

He is born at Kancharapalem Village, Tenali and brought up at Chimakurthi, ongole. In the year 1959-1964 he completed his technical graduation in Bangalore University at Bangalore.

After completing his graduation in the year 1989 he did manufacturing and trading of automobile spare parts at Vijayawada and Guntur cities.

  Since 1990, he is continuing his investment business at Indian securities as well as Real estates in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (Hyderabad).


Sri Chinnam Koteswararao

Ch.Koteswara Rao was born and raised in an agricultural labour family in rural Andhra Pradesh, a resilient individual  who has successfully transitioned from agriculture field to financial sector. His background gives him Unique understanding of the challenges faced by agriculture labour and marginal farmers and the importance of Financial inclusion. Ch.Koteswara Rao also worked as a Senior journalist and editorial board member of National Telugu Daily newspaper. In his outstanding journalist career worked as reporter, Sub editor, Special Correspondent, mofussil editor and editorial Board member.  

In his career motivated journalists  with his core strengths & characterstics of deeply  rooted values, adaptability & resilience, financial acumen ,strong communication skills and lead Andhra Pradesh Union of working Journalist(APUWJ)in various capacities to achieve the mandate of journalist union. Ch.Koteswara rao understanding of national  & International Issues ,Social & Economic analysis & Commitment to Social Justice made him to collaborate with various national and international nongovernmental organizations(NGO) & provided media  advocacy & lobbying on their defined mandates. Participated in various national & International Seminars  on social economic and cultural issues. He joined as a director where he  leveraged his journalistic expertise to develop strategic communications & campaigns and enhance banks reputation with discipline , Resilience, Integrity & Accountability.


Sri P Narayanaswamy

Palayam Narayana Swamy hails from, Ananthapuram district. Graduated from  Vijayanagar Law College –Ananthapuram and has completed his B.A, M.A  ( Political science).He has been serving as director to The Visakhapatnam cooperative bank ltd From 2021.And previously Served as Vice Chairman for The Ananthapuram cooperative Town Bank ltd. And active Social Worker, who shows his passion in serving comminuty especially marginal and unserved categories of society


Sri Jonnalagada Prasad

J.Prasad is an associate of cost Accountant of India and Certified associate of the IIB&F. Veteran Banker with over 37 years of experience at a  public sector bank from where he retired as Chief Manager(Department Head of Credit & Recovery )of zonal Office. He served in rural , Semi urban, Urban and Metro centres in different capacities in branches and also in administrative offices. His Experience includes heading of branches handling of weaker section loans, SME’s ,Educational Loans ,Housing loans. Also handled Foreign Exchange. Post retirement basing on the affinity with the bank he joined as the director of THE VISAKAHAPATNAM COOPERATIVE BANKLTD in 2025.


Sri N Anjaiah

After completing B.L and M.A.(Philosophy) at Andhra University ,Visakhapatnam and research at Nagarjuna University ,Guntur from 1979 to 1987 Anjayya had joined as lecturer in P.B.Siddhartha College of Arts and Science,Vijayawada and worked there for two years.Thereafter,he shifted to  the Centre for Scientific Socialism,Nagarjuna University in 1989.He served that Centre  as its Director for a period of eight years and got retired from service in 2019.Besides,he had also  guided the academic activities of another research Centre called Prof.K.Satchidananda Murty Centre for Studies in Afro-Asian Philosophies ,Acharya Nagarjuna University as its Director from 2011 to 2019.

Keeping in view of the need to promote the study of the social sciences and humanities,Anjayya,by being associated with a couple of friends,has been running a public library since 1990 with a collection of 25,000 volumes now located in Krishna District Freedom Fighters Association Building,Governorpeta,Vijayawada .

Anjayya ,as Secretary of a body named ASRA, has also been actively involved in organising an Home for Aged at Marellaguntapalem,near Ongole for the last one decade.

While in his students days Anjayya was quite active in student movement and associated with an organisation called All India Student Federation from 1973 to 1984 and served as one of the secretaries of its state body,Andhra Pradesh from 1981 to 1984.During his final year study of B.Sc (1977-1978),he got elected as Sports Secretary of C.S.R.College,Ongole.In addition to this,he also won the positions of Joint Secretary and Secretary in the student union elections of Andhra University College of Arts,Commerce and Law consecutively during 1981 and 1982.

Sri Koganti Sreekanth Babu

An  alumnus Of University of South Florida, Bapatla Engineering College (B.Tech), Sainik School Korukonda. Mr Sreekanth elected as director to the Bank in July,2025. He took over the onus of leading the Kennedy School  as the director in May 2002.

He is the state President of ISMA(CBSE,ICSE & International School Managements Associations) and state chairman of AP for FICCI ARISE .He is also the advisor of APPUSMA(Largest state Board schools association)and a member of various educational  associations.

He worked as a teaching Assistant at USF, Tampa. Visited & participated in a  number of conference & Study tours in various places  including  Finland, Sweden ,Singapore ,Australia, China ,Japan, UAE, UK,US etc. Conducted many Motivational  & teacher training sessions and speaker on a number of TV shows & discussions about education technology, RTE, Art of parenting, Future of Classroom & Education etc.


Sri. D. Babu Rao

Born and brought up in rural areas of Andhra Pradesh. Studied post graduation in science from reputed University. With entrepreneurial zeal and business acumen commenced his own industry providing employment to about 200 people. Susi Sea Foods Private Limited 17 years ago, SIONC Pharmaceuticals Private Limited 7 years ago. Besides he actively participates in social life and has good rapport with people of all types. He is an accomplished Business Executive in Banking Industry for more than 20 years. Entrepreneur in aquaculture, hiring large size vessels, and Industrialist in Pharmaceutical having experience for more than 15 years. When the Shrimp industry was on the verge of collapse he applied Turn-around strategy to reawaken the sick shrimp processing Unit. He has specialized in project financing and credit evaluation. An accomplished processor and exporter of aqua products, he has set up his own Contact manufacturing industry for processing of Active Pharma Ingredients (API) to high end customers. Obtained U.S. F.D.A registration and other global certifications for quality assurance in Processing Pharma products for the unit in record time. With his rich experience in diversified areas, he has been serving the Visakhapatnam Cooperative Bank since 7 years offering his expertise for effective running of the Bank.

 


Sri C R Sukumar

C.R Sukumar native of Hyderabad, Journalist turned advocate with an experience of over three decades in reporting and analyzing developments in politics, economy and industry from the now two Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, apart from anchoring and contributing to analytical stories on developments across the country with special focus on South India. Headed News bureaus of three financial dailies –The Economic Times, Mint and Financial Chronicle for nearly 15 years, apart from being part of the founding team of The Hindu Business Line for over a decade. After tracking the Corporate legal battles for nearly Three decades ,Currently Practicing  as an advocate in Hyderabad, backed by multiple law degrees including an LLB,LLM(Constitutional law)MBL(Master of Business Law from NLU Banglore) PG Diploma in ADR(NALSAR),and PG Diploma in IBC(Osmania University Law College).


Smt VVB Varal Lakshmi
Chief Executive Officer

Mrs. Varalakshmi, Varanasi assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer in February of 2025, marking a historic milestone as the first woman CEO in the 110-year history of the Bank. Her appointment is a testament to her dedication, leadership, and extensive experience across multiple domains of banking.

Her career spans over three decades, during which she rose through the ranks from a Front Office Clerk to Branch Head for 18 years, and later taking on critical leadership roles such as Audit Head, IT Head, Deputy CEO, and now CEO. As IT-Head, she played a pivotal role in the Bank's technological transformation, spearheading several modernization initiatives that enhanced efficiency and service delivery. Her deep understanding of operations, audit and compliance, IT systems, and regulatory affairs positioned her as the ideal choice to lead the institution into its next phase of growth.

An alumna of Mary Stella College, Vijayawada, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Andhra University. She has further qualified with a Postgraduate Diploma in Cooperation & Rural Studies, a Diploma in Software Management (DISM), and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB).

With deep expertise, a commitment to lifelong learning, and a strong work ethic, Mrs. Lakshmi, is focused on guiding the Bank toward sustainable growth, innovation, and excellence.
