Sri. Manam Anjaneyulu

Sri.Manam Anjaneyulu, a journalist, Trade Union Leader, particularly of un organized masses and above all a hard core communist, has taken the reins of administration of Visakhapatnam Co-operative Bank on 29/06/1983.He became a guiding force in developing the Bank from Rs.69,19,000/- deposit base in 1983 to Rs.2119 crores by the end of the year 2014, by virtue of his hard work, vision and leadership. His indomitable spirit made the Visakhapatnam Co-operative Bank Ltd., stand up like a giant in the Urban Banking Sector in the state of Andhra Pradesh expanding a unit bank to 35 branches in a span of 30 years of his chairmanship.

His services all these years are not limited to the Visakhapatnam Co-operative Bank Ltd., alone, but extended to national level Co-operative Urban Banking movement. He was responsible to bring all the bank managements of A.P under one roof, ’A.P Urban & Town Co-operative Banks Association’ in the year 1986, an exclusive state Organization affiliated to National Federation of Co-operative Urban Banks And Credit Societies Limited(NAFCUB).He was general secretary, and now Honorary President of the A.P Co-operative Urban Banks and Credit Societies Association.

He was Director and Vice-President of NAFCUB representing Co-operative Banks at National Level and the latest assignment as Director representing state level organizations. He was in the panel for several committees empanelled by Government including the Experts Committee and TAFCUB in the state of Andhra Pradesh and Member to Advisory Committee, Institute of Co-operative Management, Hyderabad. He authored several articles on different occasions and contributed to different vernacular dailies and magazines. He was a member of 10th A.P State Legislative Assembly. He was uninterruptedly chairman of the Bank ever since he was elected in 1983 to till he had handed over the responsibilities to Sri.CH.Raghavendra Rao and now gracing the institution with his presence as Emeritus Chairman with love, affection, confidence reposed by 52,000 Share Holders in the State of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana. He is admired as an icon of cooperative movement.


Sri.CH.Raghavendra Rao

Sri. Chalasani Raghavendra Rao, born on 16.11.1955 to Sri. Chalasani Jagannadha Rao and Smt. Chalasani Jayaprada in an agriculturist family with rural backdrop at Annavaram Village, Nuziveedu Mandal and excelled as Chairman of The Visakhapatnam Co-operative Bank ltd., with his commendable leadership qualities and astute approach. He served and voluntarily retired from Hindustan Zinc Ltd in 2001. He was elected as Director of The Visakhapatnam Coop Bank in 1993. Even as an employee of the Zinc, he took active part in organizing and leading the employees of The Hindustan Zinc Ltd., as a Trade Union Leader for achieving social justice to all employees. He has organized and led many associations in the unorganized sector also and served as District Secretary in the AITUC, Visakhapatnam.


Sri. G. Bhaskara Rao
Senior Vice-Chairman

Qualification: B. Com, B.L. He has been practicing as advocate and Notary in Visakhapatnam since 1981. His father late Venkata Ramana served as counselor in Visakhapatnam Municipality for more than 30 years and had the unique honour of heading it as Last Chairman i.e. before it became a full-fledged corporation. Like his father Sri Bhaskar Rao is also a Public figure holding several other positions apart from his main avocation. He is the Panel Advocate for Corporation Bank, IDBI, S.B.I & also DRT Advocate for the above banks. He is also Legal advisor for Vijayandhra vyayaama Mandal, Velampeta and Advisory Committee member for Siva,Anjaneya Temples ,Ganneru Veedhi.He is a Member of B.C.Welfare Association,BAR Association and ISCO Peace Association,Visakhapatnam and also President for Velama Samkshema Sangam for more than 15 Years.He is an active participant of Congress Party. He has been serving as Director of The Visakhapatnam Cooperative Bank since 1986 and as its Vice-President since past eight years. He provides legal advice to the Bank Management on various key issues apart from actively associating himself in all policy decisions.


Sri. M. Raghava Rao

Qualifications B.A., B.L. He is a practicing advocate in Ongole since 1979, served as District Government Pleader Prakasam District during (2005-09) and also as president for District Bar Association in the year 1993. He is Panel Advocate for Several public sector & private Banks and Legal advisor for FCI and Prakasam Milk Dairy. He takes keen interest in Social Activities also. He is a Member of Lions Club, Ongole – Served as its Secretary in 1991), as President in 1993, Zone Chairman in 2001, and District Chairman Lions club International during 2002-12, District Mentor during 2013-14. On the political front, he is a member of Communist Party of India since 1965 – served as Vice-President AIYF, Vice – President AITUC (Ongole Dist). He was a member, PIC Committee Ongole Co-Operative Bank during 2008-11. With his rich experience in the Cooperative Sector, he joined as Director of The Visakhapatnam Co-Operative Bank Ltd. and since 2001 working relentlessly for its growth and development.


Sri.S.Nagabhushana Chowdary

Education Qualification B.Com., A successful business man managing his own businesses, besides taking active interest in politics and social welfare activities. He has been on the Board of The Visakhapatnam Co-Operative Bank Ltd., since 22 years contributing his matured advice and expertise for its smooth functioning.


 


Sri. A. Joseph Stalin
Director

Qualification B.Sc., B.L. An Advocate with 30 years professional experience, Stalin received felicitation from Chief Justice of High Court for his long and meritorious services. A devoted worker in the Communist Party of India, he served as the Party’s Secretary for Visakhapatnam District. He made persistent efforts for establishment of Civil & Criminal Courts in Gajuwaka. Served as President, Bar Association Gajuwaka, GVMC City Counselor , Gajuwaka Municipality (2000), Corporator in GVMC (2007). Visited important cities in India and submitted papers to GVMC on solid waste management, BRTS road, and JNNURM projects. He has been serving as Director of The Visakhapatnam Co-Operative Bank Ltd., since 1993, attended several management programs and Co-Operative Congress meetings and providing his valuable advices to the Bank on several matters.


Sri. N. Kama Raju

Qualification B.Com., with his acumen for business, he is managing his own businesses i.e., Rice Mill and Cinema Hall in East Godavari District. In addition he has been serving as Director of The Visakhapatnam Co-Operative Bank Ltd., since the past 20 years. As a person with friendly disposition, he maintains good public relations, and instrumental in enrolling many members to The Visakhapatnam Co-Operative Bank Ltd.


Smt. K. Bhavani
Director

She was born in Jeypore, Orissa and completed her entire education there. She has done B.A. (LLB) and practicing as a dedicated and compassionate law practitioner since 1991 in Visakhapatnam. She is a National Trainee in Mediation and Reconciliation. Due to her passion for upliftment of women, she has been conducting legal awareness programs in Slum areas and Villages, working as ‘Legal Aid’ to Pragathi Charitable Trust since 1993 and is an Executive Member for ASR Mahila Bhavan since 1991. Her zeal and enthusiasm towards social service attracted her to The Visakhapatnam Co-operative Bank, where she is providing her expert knowledge as Director since 1997.


Sri. V. Chandra Sekhar

Born to Prof. V. Bhaskara Rao, a noted geophysicist and Rama Lakshmi, he has the distinction of associating with several professional bodies, educational institutions and financial organizations. Himself a Fellow of Chartered Accountancy, he qualified as Information Systems Auditor – ICAI; ISACA (Illinois, USA - 2002); Concurrent Audit of Banks (ICAI). With his 27 years of Accounting Audit & Taxation experience and expertise in BPO & KPO activities, he has been providing Credit evaluation and Credit processing services to major Banking Institutions & Credit Card operators. Managing his own firm Veeraganta Associates, he actively involved in various other activities as Resource Person, Guest Speaker / Trainer. Served as Past Chairman of Visakhapatnam Branch of ICAI (in 2004), Former Member, Project Director for Development of IT infrastructure and Regular faculty at Visakhapatnam Branch of SIRC of ICAI, Guest faculty for Small Industries Institute (MSMED), Ministry of Industries, Govt. of India, local management institutions, Academic staff college, UGC AU Campus, on the panel of Internal Audit Standards Board of ICAI, The Hindu, National Seminars held by Dept. of Commerce & Management Studies of Andhra University. Member – Financial Advisor of AU; Group study exchange programe of Rotary International visiting USA in 2001. Chaired many seminars at SICASA and presented many papers at All India Student Campaigns. His interests extend to cultural activities also. President & Founder Trustee – “SADYOJATAM” a trust in service of Music and Life Member of Visakha Music and Dance Academy, Visakha Music Academy, Sangeetha Kala Samithi, Ukkunagaram Gana Sabha, A Mason in Grand Lodge of India & ACME Visakha Junior Chamber. Sri. G. Janardhana Rao

A retired employee from BHPV, Visakhapatnam. While in service he took active part in Trade Union matters and gained good experience as Trade Union Leader. After retirement, he has been serving The Visakhapatnam Cooperative Bank Ltd., as Director since 2006 and adding his expertise in leadership in the management of the Bank. He has vast contacts in USA thereby using his good will in mobilizing NRI/NRE deposits etc.


Sri. CH. Adhinarayana Sastri

Qualification B.Com., M.A. (Public Admin.,), CFA from AMFI. He served and retired from Hindustan Zinc Ltd., While in employment he took active part in several worker related activities. Served in the Hindustan Zinc Co-Operative Society. After retirement from Hindustan Zinc two years ago, he became one of the Directors of The Visakhapatnam Co-operative Bank Ltd., Ever since he has been showing keen interest in its development and introduced several hi-value depositors.


Sri S Janaki Ramachandraraju

A retired Naval Officer with vast experience in accounts and administration which is useful for the Bank in the departments of accounts and administration and his useful suggestions in upgrading the bank’s functionalities and business.


Sri P Venkataramana rao

A retired bank officer of the District Cooperative Central Bank having vast experience in Bank credit and recovery of advances. His good experience is useful in Credit growth of the bank and as well recovery of the advances.


Sri. K Prasadarao
Director

A Law graduate from the Andhra University. He is a practicing advocate and notary at Bobbili since 1982 and is the major instrumentalist in merging the then Bobbili Urban Bank which with the Visakhapatnam Cooperative Bank. On the political front he is the member of the Communist party of India. He has vast experience both in cooperative laws and other civil laws. He is the executive member of the Indian Association of Lawyers for the last 20 years. His rich experience in law and he is always a guiding director in all legal matters of the bank.


Smt U Parvathidevi

A Post graduate in Science (M.Sc. Maths) from the Andhra University. Smt U Parvathi Devi is a dynamic and young director having good relations with members and customers of the Bank. Her knowledge, approach and service will be very useful in customer relation and business growth of the Bank. She is a good human relationship person. Her interpretation and Mathematical analysis is a guiding factor for the Bank development.

Dr.C.Krishna Mohan Rao
Director

C. Krishna Mohan Rao, born in 1958, obtained his post-graduation and doctorate in sociology from Andhra University. He has over three and half decades of experience in the literacy and rural development sectors, working at state, national, and international levels for various organizations, including the Directorate of Adult Education, Andhra Pradesh Academy of Rural Development, the National Institute of Adult Education in New Delhi, and UNESCO in Paris.

 

During his tenure as the Deputy Director of Adult Education in West Godavari, the district received a National Award from the Prime Minister for its outstanding performance in literacy during the decade of 1991-2001. His innovative group-based literacy program, Akshara Mahila, was recognized as one of the world's best literacy programs by UNESCO, and he was invited to speak at the first White House Conference on Global Literacy in New York in September 2006. He was also selected as a member of the international delegation for literacy advocacy, led by Mrs Laura Bush, the then First Lady of the United States.

 

Krishna Mohan Rao has participated in many international conferences, including the Expert Meeting on Non-Formal Education held in Paris in 2004, the World Hunger and Development Symposium in Rome in 2005, the Regional Conference on Literacy and Development in Bangkok in 2007, and the Asia Regional Conference on Global Literacy in New Delhi in 2008. He has published numerous papers on literacy and rural development in journals such as Mainstream, the Journal of Educational Planning and Administration, the International Journal of Adult Education, and the Indian Journal of Adult Education. He also published a book titled "Literacy in Action: Challenges in the Adult Education System in India" by Sage Publication (International Edition) in 2019.

 

Krishna Mohan Rao has received several honors and awards, including the Telugu Vishisht Seva Patram from the Government of Andhra Pradesh, which is a rare honor for a government employee, and the Gadicharla Harisarvothama Rao Award by the Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University in Hyderabad. In 2017, he voluntarily retired from government service and started engaging in agriculture in Nakkapalli Mandal, Visakhapatnam District.


Sri Achalla Ramakrishna Rao

Sri Achalla Ramakrishna Rao is a Post graduate in structural Engineering (ME From Andhra University) who has worked as an  executive engineer  in Panchayatraj Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh and retired in year 2021. He is a seasoned Co operator who is associated with Co- operative institutions since 2005. He acted as  catalyst in merging the Bobbili Co Operative bank with The Visakhapatnam Co operative Bank by safe guarding interest of depositors and shareholders of the then Bobbii Co operative Bank. He is active and energetic and had participating in a various seminars pertaining to co operative institutions.


Sri. D. Babu Rao

Born and brought up in rural areas of Andhra Pradesh. Studied post graduation in science from reputed University. With entrepreneurial zeal and business acumen commenced his own industry providing employment to about 200 people. Susi Sea Foods Private Limited 17 years ago, SIONC Pharmaceuticals Private Limited 7 years ago. Besides he actively participates in social life and has good rapport with people of all types. He is an accomplished Business Executive in Banking Industry for more than 20 years. Entrepreneur in aquaculture, hiring large size vessels, and Industrialist in Pharmaceutical having experience for more than 15 years. When the Shrimp industry was on the verge of collapse he applied Turn-around strategy to reawaken the sick shrimp processing Unit. He has specialized in project financing and credit evaluation. An accomplished processor and exporter of aqua products, he has set up his own Contact manufacturing industry for processing of Active Pharma Ingredients (API) to high end customers. Obtained U.S. F.D.A registration and other global certifications for quality assurance in Processing Pharma products for the unit in record time. With his rich experience in diversified areas, he has been serving the Visakhapatnam Cooperative Bank since 7 years offering his expertise for effective running of the Bank.


Dr. Ramamurthy Vidyanadhan
(Co-opted), Director

Doctorate in English Literature Dr. Ramamoorthy Vaidyanadhan is a retired Reserve Bank of India officer (in the capacity of AGM) worked in various departments of Reserve Bank of India and had a good experience in Inspections department especially in Urban Banks. His experience and knowledge is useful in upgrading bank’s performance in quality audit, inspections and vulnerable analysis and suggestions in improving the business growth of the Bank.


Sri. P.V. Narasimha Murthy
Chief Executive Officer

Qualifications: B.Com, PGDCRS. He joined the Bank on 30-7-1984 as Clerk-cum-Cashier. While so, the Bank faced a crucial situation in 2001, when its Secretary Sri Nagaraju expired unexpectedly creating a big void for a suitable person to take up his challenging work. The Bank could ultimately locate such a suitable person in Sri Murthy and he stepped into the shoes of CEO on 7-7-2001. Undeterred by the formidable nature of the task, by sheer dint of confidence and diligence, with his cordial and amenable nature in dealing with others, he could easily accomplish the task assigned to him belying all doubts about his capability. He is the kingpin in the day-to-day operations of the Bank, is the architect who implements the policy decisions taken by the board from time to time, is the warden responsible for carrying-out and adhering to the instructions of RBI, Registrar of Coop Societies, Income Tax Department and other related Government agencies, is the bridge between employees and Management and is the chief correspondent of the bank. Due to his persistent hard work, the bank which was having only ten branches at the time of his taking charge, expanded to a net-work of 50 branches and progressing still further. The deposits which were at Rs.264 crores in 2001, rose to an incredible figure of Rs. 4026 crores (including Long Term Deposit) by june-2023 , and loan disbursements which were at Rs.188 crores augmented to a staggering Rs.3053 crores by june’23. Without any formal education or training in management Sri Murthy crafted the Bank into one of the Biggest Banks in the Cooperative Sector to-day
